Malkhan Singh confesses having relationship with Bhanwari

Jodhpur, Dec 24: Malkhan Singh, Congress MLA during CBI interrogation in the missing case of Bhanwari Devi, accepted having a relationship with the nurse, said sources.

During the investigations, he also said that Bhanwari Devi often visited his and his sister Indra's houses.

He, however, did not give away anything about his role in the disappearance of the nurse.

Meanwhile, Bhanwari's husband, Amarchand who confessed to his role in the abduction of the nurse, has been sent to judicial custody till Jan 3.

Claiming that his life is under threat in jail, Amarchand had appealed to the CBI that he be kept in isolation. The case will be further heard on Dec 23. He was arrested on Dec 8.

Amarchand's confessions in front of a magistrate have also been recorded by the CBI, so as to ensure that he did not back out from his statements later.

Bhanwari Devi, an auxiliary nurse and a trained midwife who also featured in some videos went missing from Bilara on Sept 1.

Rumours doing the rounds claim that the reason behind her disappearance was an alleged sex tape that featured Bhanwari Devi and Mahipal Maderna, sacked Water Resources Minister, Rajasthan, in a compromising position.
