Hubby impotent, Gujarati girl commits suicide in Mumbai

Mumbai, Dec 23: Just after few months of their marriage, a Gujarati girl committed suicide in Mumbai's Malad area. The 23-year-old girl, who has been identified as Naina Pandav, ended her life after jumping in front of a train on Wednesday, Dec 20.

Police said that Naina was facing torture from her in-laws after complaining that her husband, 28-year-old Ajay is impotent. The torture reached to such an extent that Naina reportedly was threatened to be killed her in-laws.

Naina's brother claimed that Naina used to call her and she was afraid that she might be killed by her husband's parents. The victim's father informed that they had sent money to Ajay and his family for his (Ajay's) treatment.

"In June, Naina called us and told us about Ajay. I asked her to send him to Surat for treatment. Ajay's parents, however, asked us to send them the money for treatment, which I did," said Naina's father who lives in Surat, Gujarat.

Naina's father shattered while stating that he failed to win his daughter's faith as she committed suicide despite being assured by her father that she would be rescued and would be taken to Gujarat.
