Kerala: Teens rape girls, upload MMS clips online

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 22: Two teenagers have been arrested by the Varkala police, Kerala on Tuesday, Dec 20 for allegedly raping and uploading nude sex clips of girls on the internet.

The two were produced before a Juvenile Court and later granted bail. They have been charged under section 66C of the IT Act and IPC 376 (for rape, sexual abuse and using the cyber media with malicious intentions).

The incident was revealed after one of the victims came across her own video clip on her friend's mobile phone. She later narrated the whole incident to her parents and a complaint was filed with the police by one of her relatives. Both accused were arrested from Kallambalam after the victim's statement was recorded.

The victims met the accused boys at a parallel college located in Attingal. The girl's were then lured by the accused who posed as lovers and often took them to isoated places in Varkala.

They would then engage in sexual intercourse and record it without the girl's knowledge. The boys would then uploaded the clips on the cyberspace and also streamed the clips through bluetooth from their mobile phones.

Police said that they were on a lookout for a third person involved in the crime.
