Mentally challenged girl raped in Goa church centre

Panaji, Dec 19: A brutal rape case in Goa once again proved that no one but human being is the most dangerous living being in the world. A 15-year-old mentally challenged girl has been raped in a church-run center.

Goa police on Monday, Dec 19 informed that the victim was lured to the toilet of the centre by a man who has been identified as Desmond Andrade.

The accused, who has absconded from the city, allegedly raped the girl within the toilet of St Francis Xavier Centre for Handicapped in Shantiniketan. The centre is situated in old Goa near Panaji.

Police, however, started investigation and filed a case against Desmond under section 376 of the IPC.

Police official, while giving some information on the rape case, said, "We are looking for Desmond and a case has been booked under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code."
