Uttar Pradesh: Bomb recovered in Agra

Agra, Dec 18: A crude bomb was recovered from Agra, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, Dec 17.

The crude bomb was recovered with a timer from a dhaba near Tedi Baghia crossing on Agra Aligarh road believed to be left by two youths who visited the eatery in a plastic bag.

The police was immediately alerted and the bomb was defused by the bomb disposal squad in a near by field.

"Prima facie it appears to be the crude bomb and team from Forensic Lab has been called to work out the details," said Asim Arun, DIG, Agra.

Revealing details of the young men the dhaba staff said that it was the youths who left behind the bag at the dhaba.

Meanwhile, a sketch is being prepared on the basis of the details given by the witnesses.

With festive season and Christmas and New Year on its way, the recovery of the crude bomb have taken the security forces off guard.
