SP Gupta says he never met Chidambaram for his case

New Delhi, Dec 18: Hotelier SP Gupta told the media that he has never met Home Minister P Chidambaram to quash criminal proceedings against him. He said that his legal team had hired Chidambaram to represent his case.

SB Gupta declared that he had petitioned Home Ministry to withdraw the charges much before Chidambaram got the position as a Home Minister. Adding to his point he claimed that former home secretary VK Duggal had written to Delhi police on the basis of his complaint.

"I have never met Chidambaram in my life. Even when Shivraj Patil was home minister they had taken note of my case and asked for justice to be done to me," said Gupta

BJP members on Friday alleged that Chidambaram had misusing his position to withdraw three FIRs against SP Gupta, businessman. SP Gupta has been accused of cheating and forgery. Even Chidambaram has rejected the charges of conflict. He refused that he had reportedly helped the hotelier SB Gupta.
