FIR filed against Bollywood actress Vidya Balan

The complaint was filed by Sai Krishna Azad, a lawyer, who filed a petition with the Nampally court in which he alleged that the actresses indecent promos and posters were “causing inconvenience to women” and were "obscene".
He further alleged that the billboards and posters of the movie were “spoiling the minds of the people and causing harm to the society”.
A case was booked against the actor following a court directive under Section 294 (Obscene acts and songs) and relevant sections under the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, said M Suman Kumar, Nallakunta Inspector of Police.
“After we received the court order copy today, a case was registered against Vidya Balan. If allegations are proved after the investigation, we may question her,” added the police officer.
Vidya Balan has been heavily criticised by many for exposing post the release of her Bollywood flick 'The Dirty Picture’.
