Govt's sincerity to pass Lokpal Bill is above suspicion: PM

On board Air India, Dec 17: As the Team Anna mounting pressure on government by every day, PM Manmohan Singh said that the efforts are full on to bring the proposed ant-corruption mechanism legislation in this session of the parliament.

"The government's sincerity to pass Lokpal Bill is above suspicion. It should not be doubted," PM Singh said.

"Our govt is committed to reform but there is such a thing as political compulsion in coalition government that We have to engage with our allies in a productive, constructive way and I am sure captains of industry will recognize political compulsions. Our government is working day and night to pass Lokpal Bill," PM concluded.
