BJP accuses Mayawati's brother of graft; demands probe

New Delhi, Dec 16: Attacking UP Chief Minister Mayawati, the Baharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has complained to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MoCA) and demanded a probe against Mayawati's brother Anand Kumar for alleged unusual transactions and dealings by 125 companies allegedly led by him.

Meanwhile, BJP national secretary Kirti Somaiya has written a letter to the Director (Investigation and Inspection) of MoCA and Director, Enforcement Directorate demanding action against 125 companies allegedly led by Anand Kumar.

"The unusual, abnormal financial growth of Anand Kumar since 2007 demands attention. After Ms Mayawati's BSP came to power in UP in May 2007 the unusual transactions by Anand Kumar group needs to be investigated," the BJP leader added.

The BJP leader further said that they have found 125 companies which carried out unusual and suspicious money laundering transactions of thousands of crores.
