Lokpal Bill report tabled in Rajya Sabha

The report was tabled by Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Chairman, the Standing Committee on Law and Justice, Public Grievances and Personnel.
Pinaki Misra, Committee member tabled the report in the Lok Sabha.
Talking in the Rajya Sabha, Singhvi said, "Inclusion of Prime Minister in the ambit of the Lokpal was left to the wisdom of the Parliament."
He further said that the CBI will not be answerable to the Lokpal or government and will work in the merit of investigation.
"We have created an equilibrium between CVC, CBI and the Lokpal and the CVC will file quarterly report," he said.
