Sreeramulu to float new party after stunning Bellary victory

A close aide of the mining barons, Janardhana Reddy and Srinivasa Reddy, Sreeramulu has now claimed the support of 14 MLAs in Karnataka and there are strong speculations doing the rounds that he might float his own party.
Sreeramulu has been quoted as saying, "I have the numbers to form a new party. I will give you more details after a short while."
The Bellary by poll was necessitated when Sriramulu, a close aide of former Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa and the Reddy Brothers, quit Assembly membership after being denied a ministerial berth following his indictment along with the Reddy brothers in the Lokayukta report on illegal mining. If Sreeramulu plans to create a new party, the move could hurt the BJP government in the state with a marked split in the vote bank for the party.
