Indian Military to come under Whistleblower's bill

The Parliamentary Standing Committee headed by Abhishek Manu Singhvi has recommended bringing the Armed Forces, security and intelligence agencies under the ambit of the Public Interest Disclosure and Protection to Persons Making the Disclosures Bill, 2010, which is known as the Whistleblower's Bill.
The bill was introduced in the parliament in Aug 2010 when Jayanthi Natarajan was the chairperson of the committee. The Bill looks at establishing a mechanism to get complaints regarding allegations of corruption or wilful misuse of power.
