Suspicious object on track, Bangalore Metro stopped

Bangalore Metro Logo
Bangalore, Dec 7: Bangalore Metro, which started just two months back, faced another hurdle on its way when its service was stopped for half-an-hour on Wednesday, Dec 7.

The Metro service, which currently covers almost six kilometres range between Baiyyapanahalli and MG Road, was stopped when a suspicious object - a plastic bag was found on the metro track.

However, the panic over the plastic bag was taken away when it was revealed that it was nothing but banana leaves used to wrap food in a plastic cover. After getting the news, metro officials once again asked the travellers and residents of the area not to do such act of vandalism.

This was the second time when Bangalore Metro was compelled to stop functioning. Earlier it was stopped after a violent jolt due to technical glitches. [Read more: Violent jolt cause panic among 500 B'lore Metro passengers].
