YS Jagan flexes muscle; hits out at Congress, Naidu

"The situation of farmers in Andhra Pradesh is pathetic. The farmer is losing money. Farmer is unable to make money while the cost of everything is going up. This Congress government has lost the grounds to be in power. Ask the government to face elections across the state in one face and see what is the wish of the people," he said.
"This no confidence motion was moved by Chandrababu Naidu as he knew that the government will not fall. He never asked for support of the leaders. This is sincere politics. The true nature of Congress party and Chandrababu Naidu is exposed," he added.
The Kiran Kumar Reddy government had earlier defeated a no-confidence motion against the Telgu Desam Party by a margin of 38 votes.
Earlier, 122 MLAs voted in favour of the no confidence motion, while 160 voted against it and one legislator was neutral. At least 16 Congress MLAs voted in favour of the motion.
This was the ninth time a no confidence motion was moved against the governments in the state.
A similar motion was moved against S Rajasekhara Reddy's government in 2008 by TDP president Chandrababu Naidu.
