UP: Uma Bharti's 'BJP lao, pradesh bachchao campaign' begins
Bharti, on her yatra will meet the OBC members including from Nishad, Kevat and Kashyap communities. On Monday, she took out "nyaya march" from the state party headquarters to Bhimrao Ambedkar statue at Hazratganj to protest against the policies of the Mayawati government.
Uma Bharti, along with BJP national secretary Kirit Somaiya, president of women wing Premlata Katiyar and other leaders staged the march as part of 'BJP lao, pradesh bachchao campaign', a party spokesman said.
Few days back Uma Bharti said in a press conference, "While I could be in jail for torching Walmart stores, Mayawati could be jailed for misuse of public funds and other corrupt practices."
Last month, Rahul Gandhi conducted ongoing election campaign in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming assembly polls 2012 . During his campaign he accused Mayawati and her Bahujan Samajwadi party for branding the poor farmers of the state as Maoist.
