J Dey case: Scribe Jigna Vora's custody extended till Dec 9
Dilip Shah, the prosecutor argued that since new material had come to light, according to her, those materials needed to be probed, hence her police custody has been extended.
Jigna Vora (37), Deputy Bureau Chief of The Asian Age, was arrested under the stringent Maharashtra control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) for her alleged role in the murder of Dey.
MiD-DAY reporter Jyotirmoy Dey who headed the special investigative team in the newspaper was shot dead on Jun 11 by few unidentified bike-borne assailants. Dey was believed to have been working on an oil mafia story at the time of his death. It was being suspected that the oil mafia head could be the man behind the murder.
