Adamant TN refuses to attend talks on Mullaperiyar dam row

Sending a clear message to everyone that TN government won't relent on the dam controversy, PWD Secretary M Saikumar, “It has been decided that the Government of Tamil Nadu will not participate in the informal discussion on Mullaperiyar in New Delhi on December 5."
PM Mnamohan Singh, who intervened in ongoing states fight, informed TN CM Jayalalithaa that he had asked the Water Resources Ministry to arrange a meeting between officials of the two states on the issue.
