2G case: Verdict on Chidambaram on Dec 8

Chidambaram
New Delhi, Dec 3: A Delhi Court on Saturday (Dec 3) reserved its order for Dec 8 on a petition filed by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy in the 2G scam, demanding that former Finance Minister and present Union Home Minister P Chidambaram be made co-accused in the 2G spectrum allocation case.

Swamy had clamied that he has proof that Chidambaram and former Telecom Minister A Raja acted together in fixing 2G spectrum prices. In Sept, the Janata Party president had submitted to the Supreme Court documents indicating that Chidambaram was involved in deciding the 2G spectrum price along with jailed former communications minister A Raja.

Moreover, Swamy also sought court permission to examine some witnesses, including senior CBI officials, to establish Chidambaram"s alleged complicity in the scam.

Swamy alleged that former finance minister Chidambaram has endorsed Mr Raja's decision on 2G spectrum allocation and therefore, the charges framed against A Raja have to be also framed against P Chidambaram and the process for it should be initiated.
