After slap-gate row, Sharad Pawar escapes ceiling fan attack

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), Dec 9: Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Saturday escaped unhurt after a ceiling fan fell on the dais, police informed.

Madhu Kumar, inspector general (IG) of Jabalpur informed the media that the incident occurred when Pawar was addressing the seminar organised by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR).

"The ceiling fan which was not properly fit above the dais suddenly fell about 4-5 feet away from the place where Pawar was addressing the seminar," the IG said.

Union minister of State for Agriculture, Charandas Mahant and Ajay Vishnoi, the veterinary department minister were also present in the occasion.
