Haryana: MiG 21 crashes, pilot safe

Sirsa (Haryana), Dec 2: A MiG-21 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed on Friday near Sirsa district in Haryana. The plane had taken off from an air base near Sirsa. It has been reported that the pilot is safe.

The incident occurred at around 1 pm. The aircraft plummeted into a farm land where a farmer had dug a portion for collecting water. It shattered into several pieces and crashed on the spot. The pilot safely landed by parachute half a kilometer away from the incident place, say reports.

Around three fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and are trying to control the situation.
