Fire destroys two oil tankers in Assam

The two crude oil tankers were reversing for unloading the oil at around 2 pm, when both the tankers collided, which caused sparks and set the CBUS into flames, Jishnu Sarma, OIL spokesman informed.
Sarma informed that no casualties have been caused in the incident. The amount burnt down in the fire was not immediately known. The fire had been brought under control by the fire-tenders, he added.
According to the preliminary investigations, it was an accidental fire and not an act of sabotage by militants or miscreants.
Meanwhile, the anti-talk Ulfa Paresh Baruah faction has claimed the responsibility for the fire. Ulfa asserted that it would "continue to indulge in such subversive attacks on OIL in the future".
