New Delhi, Nov 30: The German Bakery blast plot in Pune remains a mystery with Delhi Police claiming a terror module of six suspected Indian Mujahideen operatives was behind the attack, an assessment different from Maharashtra Police's Anti Terror Squad (ATS).

The ATS chargesheet in the Feb 2010 blast case blames the attack on a different set of persons--seven in all--including Himayat Beig, who has since been arrested. Dehi Police claimed that it had arrested six people out of whom two--Mohammed Qateel Siddiqi and Yasin Bhatkal-- had planted the bomb on Feb 13, 2010.

A bomb blast ripped through Pune's popular German Bakery, close to the Osho Ashram and diagonally across from the Jewish Chabad House, killing 17 people and injuring 65. Maharashtra ATS also claimed involvement of Pakistan based Lashkar-e-Taiba's (LeT) behind the blast. In its chargesheet filed in a Pune court, the ATS has also named six other accused --all co-conspirators and absconding--Mohsin Choudhary, Yasin Bhatkal, Riyaz Bhatkal, Iqbal Bhatkal, Faiyaz Kagzi and Zabihuddin Ansari.

The chargesheet filed by the ATS Maharashtra raises many unanswered questions in the wake of the claims made by the Delhi Police of busting the Indian Mujahideen module, according to Union Home Ministry officials.
