Security raised across major Indian airports

As per plans, 60 additional CISF personnel have been put in place at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi, while a contingent of 100 personnel have been sanctioned for the Mumbai International Airport. Hyderabad airport, on the other hand will get 75 additional paramilitary troopers to secure the area.
The other areas that will be put under security cover will be; the Red Fort with 23 personnel, the "Samadhi Sthals" in Delhi with 55 personnel and even the Rajiv Gandhi Ninaivgam, Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu with 18 personnel.
A CISF officer has been quoted as saying on the security initiatives, "The additional CISF posts have been created and sanctioned after a security audit of these airports. The personnel will enhance the strength of the armed quick reaction teams (QRT) deployed for immediate action in case of a threat at airports."
