UP: Don't love in Maya-land;Cops slap young-couples in Parks

Ghaziabad, Nov 30: It seems that love relationship is banned in Mayawati's state - Uttar Pradesh. Young couples once again have been targeted by the state police who slapped many boys and girls for sitting at public places.

TV channels showed how cops harassed many young couples sitting in a park in Sahibaba, Ghaziabad on Wednesday, Nov 30. The police officials also have been seen forcing the couples to do sit ups.

Videos broadcasted by TV channels also showed how the police officials picked up couples from other parks and shopping malls and detained them for questioning.

Led by Station Officer Alka Pandey of the Ghaziabad Police, cops conducted such operation which they termed as - Operation Majnu.

Here it can be recalled that UP police had carried similar kind of operation earlier in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Aligarh where young couples were beaten and dragged by the cops for sitting together in public places.
