Salman under crime status, charged for assaulting activist

Kanpur, Nov 30: The police have filed an FIR against the Bollywood actor Salman Khan, his bodyguard Shera and five others at the Kakadeo police station. They are alleged for assaulting Omendra Bharat, an anti-corruption activist.

Omendra is an ex-IIT-ian and the chief general secretary of Jan Rajya Party.

Salman's personal security staff attacked the anti-corruption supporters when they gathered around the superstar's vehicle to offer him Gandhi topi and requesting him to join the agitation.

The activists filed a complaint with the Kakadeo police. But no FIR was lodged against him and his bodyguard.

"A case was lodged against Salman and his bodyguard Shera besides five others," said Anup Yadav, investigating officer.
