Bellary bypoll underway; all eyes on Sriramulu

The Election Commission had made tight security arrangement to ensure free and fair polling.
Sriramulu, who has grand plans of floating his own political party if he wins the by-poll, has also vowed to root out the BJP, which has fielded Gadi Lingappa.
The state ruling party is expecting to end the era of Reddy brothers and their associate Sriramulu in Bellary by wresting the seat from the mining barons.
The Bellary bypoll battle is between Sreeramulu and the BJP's nominee P. Gadi Lingappa, a Bellary businessman, who is contesting an Assembly poll for the first time. Meanwhile, people have to wait till Dec 4 for the result that is expected to make a massive impact on state politics.
