Top Foreign Policy thinkers: Anna aligns with Premji, Obama

New Delhi, Nov 29: Increasing the pride of Indians, 74-year-old Anna Hazare grabbed a prominent place in the list of top Global Thinkers of foreign policy. Hazare caught the attention after being named in the list along with top personalities world-wide.

Hazare's name has been enlisted along with Wipro Chief Azim Premji, well-known writer and social activist Arundhati Roy, US President Barack Obama and many others.

While Anna has been placed in the 37th position for his anti-corruption crusade in India, Obama and Premji grabbed the 11th and 14th positions respectively.

Appreciating Premji's works, Foreign Policy Magazine claimed, "It's not just because of Azim Premji's enormous wealth that he is compared to the American technologist turned philanthropist."

Some of the other people, whose names have been featured in the list are - Mohamed Elbaradei from Egypt; Syrian human rights lawyer and cartoonist, Ali Feratthe and the 10th position is jointly occupied by the three central bank governors of US, France and China for steering the world amid crisis.

Economist Arvind Subramanian and Poverty researcher Deepa Narayan's names are also in the list of top 100 global thinkers.
