Yeddyurappa lands in hospital again

BS Yeddyurappa
Bangalore, Nov 28: After former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa's hospital-hopping prior to being arrested drew a lot of flak, he is back in hospital on Monday morning. He has been admitted to the Sagar hospital in Bangalore. On what illness led to him getting admitted to hospital is not known yet.

Yeddyurappa is out on bail after being named accused in the land denotification case and was jailed at the Parappana Agrahara jail. More recently, a fresh case was slapped on him after a new illegal land scam emerged involving Yeddyurappa and Housing Minister V Somanna.

The latest land scam probe has been ordered by Lokayukta Special Court Judge N.K. Sudhindra Rao based on a complaint by Ravikrishna Reddy, who alleged that Yeddyurappa had allotted state land measuring 23,892 square feet near Bangalore to an educational trust run by Somanna's wife Shailaja in 2009.

During Yeddyurappa's earlier hospital stint, the 68-year-old was admitted to the Sri Jayadeva hospital after complaining of multiple health problems and mental stress. He is suffering from high blood pressure, high sugar level and body pain.
