Kishenji Death: Red ultras call for "Bharat bandh"

Hyderabad , Nov 27: The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) has called for a two-day Bharat bandh on December 4-5 to protest against killing of top maoist leader Malojula Koteswara Rao alias Kishenji.

Maoist ideologue P. Varavara Rao, read out the statement of the central committee before the funeral of Kishenji in his home town Peddapalli in Karimnagar district, about 200 km from Hyderabad.

The number 3 man in Maoist hierarchy, Koteshwar Rao alias Kishenji was killed in an encounter by the joint forces operating in Borishol forest in West Midnapore district of West Bengal bordering Jharkhand on Nov 24. However, search for another top leader, Suchitra Mahato is still on. The search operation was launched on Nov 23 following an intelligence report that Kishenji and others were hiding in Purulia district of West Bengal.

Meanwhile, Paying rich tributes to Kishanji, the CPI-Maoist alleged that security forces killed him in cold blood.
