Govt places full-page ads over FDI in retail

New Delhi, Nov 27: The UPA Governmnet has placed full-page, glitzy advertisements in all major newspapers to highlight the benefits of Foreign Direct Investment in retail sector.

The ads has been publicized to promote that farmers will be benefited from the FDI as 50% of the investment will be put into the development of the farmers. Even the farmers will get better returns for their grains. FDI in retail sector will help in creation of lakhs of job.

Through the advertisements, the government has mentioned the examples of other countries through the advertisements where small retails have flourished despite of FDI.

Meanwhile, the UPA government has faced stiff opposition from the political parties. On Friday the government has faced loud protest in the parliament.
