Delhi Court orders FIR against Kiran Bedi

New Delhi, Nov 26: A Delhi Court on Saturday (today) ordered Delhi police to file a First Information Report (FIR) against social activist Kiran Bedi for allegedly cheating, misappropriating funds in collusion with foreign companies and other foundations.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at the Patiala House courts, Amit Bansal, directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch, to lodge the First Information Report against Bedi.

Earlier, Bedi was caught in a travel bill controversy. Bedi, a key member of Team Anna, on Oct 24 said she would return the excess airfare, which was paid to her by her sponsors and had been used by her to fund a charity organisation.
