Tamil actor Vijayakant fasts against price rise

A fast was also observed in other parts of Tamil Nadu. Vijayakant speaking at the venue, said that the government increased prices that have affected the common man to a large extent.
Chief Minister of the state, Jayalalithaa on Nov 17 had announced a price hike in the bus fares and milk prices and also the proposal to revise power tariff.
The bus fare in the state has been increased to Rs 3 and the maximum by Rs 5 to Rs 12, other than in Chennai. The bus fare in Chennai has gone up by Rs 12 to Rs 14.
The milk prices have rose up by Rs 6.25 per litre to Rs 24.
