Fire in Chennai airport creates chaos among travellers

Fire
Chennai, Nov 25: Fire accidents in two different incidents created panic among the air travellers and ground staffs of Chennai International Airport on Friday, Nov 25.

At first, fire broke out at the car parking area of the international airport. Fire engines rushed to the area and after a tough fight for long time, fire brigade officials succeeded to extinguish the flames.

Eyewitnesses said that the fire might have gulped a large portion of the airport if the fire brigade engines would not have reached the place at the right time. It has been reported that an over-heated battery blasted and a car, which is used to ferry airline staff, caught fire.

Meanwhile, a neon name-board of a private hotel outside the airport caught fire following short-circuit. However, sources informed that situations are under control now.
