2G: Bail hearing adjourned, Kanimozhi left to burn in Tihar
The Delhi High Court on Friday, Nov 25 adjourned the bail plea hearing till Monday, Nov 28. The court on Thursday had allowed the early hearing of bail applications of DMK MP Kanimozhi and five other accused in 2G spectrum allocation case after the Supreme Court granted bail to five corporate honchos co-accused in the case.
Moreover, the court directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the case, to submit statement charges against all the accused and evidence seized against them.
Earlier, on Wednesday, the Supreme Court had granted bail to five top corporate executives allegedly involved in the 2G spectrum allocation scam - Sanjay Chandra of Unitech Wireless, Vinod Goenka of Swan Telecom and Reliance Group's Gautam Doshi, Surendra Pipara and Hari Nair.
Along with Kanimozhi, the HC heard bail pleas of Kalaignar TV Chief Sharad Kumar, Cineyug Films' Karim Morani, Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd directors Asif Balwa and Rajiv B. Agarwal and former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura.
