Omar Abdullah briefs JK cabinet on AFSPA

Jammu, Nov 24: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here today (Nov 24) briefed his council of ministers on the issue of revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act.

"Cabinet meeting (has taken place) just now...Briefed my colleagues about my discussions in Delhi # (on) AFSPA," he tweeted.

According to officials present in the meeting, Omar has briefed his cabinet colleagues about his discussion with the central leadership on AFSPA in New Delhi and his perception on the issue.

In the meeting, Omar also approved transfers and posting of some senior police officers, including two additional DGPs and three IGPs, they said.
