Bhubaneswar, Nov 23: Four people were injured in a train collision, which took place at Jharsuguda railway station in Odisha, confirmed the police.

Both the trains were at the station when the signal was given to the goods train. The driver of the Koraput-Howrah Samaleswari Express mistook the signal and moved the train jumping the signal, which caused the accident, reported RN Bal, police official.

"Twenty-four-year-old Vikas Nayak jumped from the passenger train and suffered injuries on one of his legs. He is in hospital," said the official.

Samaleswari Express left the station after halting for six hours, said Mahato.
