TN: Jaya appears before B'lore court over assets case

Jayalalithaa was questioned for 6 hours. She was accompanied by her close aide Sasikala Natarajan and her adopted son V Sudhakaran and the other accused who were also involved in the case. Last month, she had attended the hearing twice at the same court.
Jayalalithaa had requested the Supreme Court to excuse her from the hearing, which was conducted on Nov 8. She had said that she didn't want to create an inconvenience for the people in Bangalore. She had also sought the permission to give the answers in writing.
The trial court had framed 1,339 questions for Ms Jayalalithaa but she replied to only 567 questions on her appearances before the court in Oct. Jaya still needs to answer the remaining 768 questions.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has provided the best security. Around 1,500 policemen were posted for her security with 20 cars on escort from the airport to Bangalore's Central Prison where the hearing is held.
