Bollywood actress' driver flees with Rs 4 lakh

Mumbai, Nov 22: The driver of Poonam Jhanwar, an actress and singer fled with Rs 3.9 lakh, which Jhanwar had asked to give to her mother.

Porab Singh Thapa, the accused on Nov 12 went to drop the actress at airport as she was flying to Delhi. She later gave him the money that she took from a friend and asked him to give the money to her mother. The driver dumped the vehicle at Versova and fled. After calling her mother, she realised the foul play and lodged a police complaint.

The vehicle was however recovered by the Oshiwara police.
