2G: Raja, Kani not to be let out of Tihar; trial shifted

New Delhi, Nov 22: Former Telecom Minister A Raja and DMK MP Kanimozhi who are currently lodged at Tihar jail, won't be let to breath fresh air out of the jail not even during the special CBI court trials. The court trials, which were the only source of outing for them, would be conducted inside the jail premises and not at Patiala House henceforth.

Following an order from the Delhi High Court, CBI court Judge OP Saini on Tuesday, Nov 22 stated that all trials regarding 2G spectrum scam would be conducted in Tihar jail.

However, Raja and Kanimozhi, who have been lodged behind bars over their alleged roles in the multi-crore telecom spectrum scam, were not pleased with the High Court's order and opposed the decision of shifting 2G trials to Tihar. The court did not even show any special notification behind its decision to shift the trials to the jail.
