Ex-lover kills girl's mother-in-law

Bidar, Nov 21: A 40-year-old woman was killed by a five-member gang on Sunday afternoon over previous enmity.

Vidyavathi Basavaraj Gode, the victim was returning to her home along with her second son Johnson. Their vehicle was attacked by the car-borne assailants. The gang targeted at Johnson but he ducked and his mother Vidyavathi was hit by the bullet. She died in the Bidar Government Hospital.

According to the Police, the killer could be the Vidyavathi's daughter-in-law's ex-boyfriend, Rubin. Hanumanth Ladu, a former member of the Bidar zilla panchayat said that Rubin used to love his daughter, Swarna. They wanted to elope but Hanumanth rescued her daughter from Rubin's clutches. Then he tied her knot with Vidyavathi's first son, Symond. The gang may have targeted Symond as daily he used to drive the car. But on Sunday, his younger brother Johnson was driving the car. The five attackers were Rubin, Neelamma, Ismail, Ishaq and Jaipal.

Hanumath and Basavaraj had filed a complaint at the Gandhi Ganj police station.
