Ujjain Prof murder case: Youth acquitted but kills himself

Murder
Gwalior, Nov 20: A Nagpur Court had acquitted Vimal Tomar and five others over the HS Sabharwal murder case in Ujjain. But Tomar committed suicide after he was accused for the case, sources said on Sunday.

The court has acquitted them after three years due to the lack of evidence. In 2010, the Supreme Court had refused the petition, which was filed by Himanshu Sabharwal. He challenged the acquittal of student union leaders for his father's murder.

In 2006, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists had beaten the head of the political science department of Madhav College Professor HS Sabharwal. Later he died in a hospital.
