LK Advani's 38-day Jan Chetna Yatra ends today

Advani's yatra which aimed at eliminating corruption and raising the issue of bringing back black money stashed abroad kicked off from Bihar on Oct 11.
Speculations were being made that the yatra was to project himself as a prime ministerial candidate.
"No, this is not about me becoming Prime Minister. It's about the party, about BJP," he said.
Clarifying his stand he said that the entire idea of the Jan Chetna Yatra was to build support for his Sudheendra Kulkarni his aide and other BJP MPs who were jailed and recently bailed in the cash-for-votes scam.
"For a person who is supposedly no 1 in the political hierarchy of the UPA what shocks and astounds me is that she's not known to many in the country. Not many even know what are her views on various issues," said Advani.
Congress leaders however criticised Advani's yatra and said that the yatra was for himself and not for his party or the nation.
"This yatra is only about Advani," said Rashid Alvi.
