Srinagar: Geelani's concerned for pro-freedom prisoners

Geelani declared that more than 1000 pro-freedom leaders are fading in different jails. He showed his concern over the detention of over 50 children. In adding to his statement, he said that “Despite being political prisoners, these pro-freedom leaders are being treated as criminals in these jails."
He requested the international human rights organizations to interfere into the matter and take some actions over the issue.
Geelani criticized the detention of political prisoners and children. He wanted the organisation to use their influence over the release of prisoners.
According to him, the Hurriyat conference cannot be silent over the atrocities committed on the detainees in Kot Balwal Jail.
Currently, over one thousand Kashmiris were lodged in the jail in Kashmir. He claimed that detainees were “inflicted atrocities" and “denied basic facilities including medical aid in violation of international laws."
