Digvijay slams Ramdev for advocating Maya to be PM

Digvijay expressed his surprise over Ramdev's comments and said that "Ramdev feels Mayawati would make a better PM than Rahul Politics does make strange bed fellows."
Rashid Alvi, spokesperson of AICC, strongly reacted on Ramdev's remarks and said that people of our country will decide the prime minister and "it does not make any difference whether Baba Ramdev thinks so or not."
"The issue of weavers was taken up long back by Rahul Gandhi who had also discussed it with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Uttar Pradesh government should be happy if something is being done for them today. There is no fixed dateline for solving any issue," said Rashid Alvi.
In an official press conference, Mayawati read out a letter raising questions over the proposed package for weavers. She said that she wanted to know whether the proposal was a "political stunt".
Mayawati commented after Rahul Gandhi sent a letter to textile minister Anand Sharma, where he asked the centre to formulate an "appropriate financial package" for the crisis-ridden handloom weavers in Uttar Pradesh.
