SC adjourns Aarushi murder case hearing for two weeks

New Delhi, Nov 19: The Supreme Court on Friday, Nov 18 deferred the hearing of Nupur and Rajesh Talwar's petition challenging the criminal trial proceedings against the dentist couple in Aarushi Talwar murder case.

The parents of Aarushi were declared the prime accused in the murder of their daughter and domestic help Hemraj.

14-year-old Aarushi was found dead with her throat slit at the family's Noida residence on the outskirts of Delhi on May 16, 2008. The domestic help, Hemraj was also found dead on the terrace a day after Aarushi's murder. The UP police had accused and arrested Rajesh Talwar, Aarushi's father over the case before the CBI took over the investigation.

Special Judicial Magistrate Preeti Singh, over two years back had concluded that Rajesh and Nupur Talwar should be put on trial for killing their daughter and servant.
