Defamation case filed against Rahul Gandhi

Muzaffarnagar, Nov 19: A defamation case has been slapped against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by a Shiv Sena activist in Prabudhnagar district, Uttar Pradesh for his alleged remarks against the people of the state in a rally.

According to court officials, Sanjay Sharma, Shiv Sena activist filed the complaint in a local court on Nov 18.

"People of UP are appreciated for their hard work wherever they go in search of job...How long will you beg in Maharashtra (for work)? How long will you work as labourer in Punjab?" Rahul Gandhi had said in Congress' UP election campaign on Nov 14 in Phulpur.
