ANC demands revocation of AFSPA

Srinagar, Nov 19: Awami National Conference today (Nov 19) held a demonstration demanding revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act in Jammu and Kashmir and high-level probe into the unmarked graves case.

ANC vice president Muzaffar Ahmad Shah led over hundred party workers from his Maulana Azad Road residence to ANC's Residency Road office.

Carrying banners and placards, the demonstrators demanded revocation of AFSPA, investigation into the unmarked graves and resolution of the Kashmir issue as per wishes and aspirations of the people of the state. Over 2,000 corpses, believed to be victims of the separatist revolt, have been found buried in several unmarked graves in dozens of villages near the Line of Control in Kashmir.
