US: The man who tried to Kill the President

The incident happened when Oscar opened gunfire near the White House sending the area into panic. The US Secret Service officials after thorough investigation found an AK-47 in an abandoned car in the vicinity. Any casualties were averted with Obama and his family not present at the White House at the time of the incident.
The US park police also recovered rounds of bullets near the White House on Thursday. The bullets did not cause damages since the White House windows were protected with ballistic glass.
As per the court papers, the abandoned car contained three loaded magazines of ammunition, nine spent shell casings, aluminum baseball bat, brass knuckles besides the AK-47. The car was registered in the name of Oscar Ortega-Hernandez.
Assistant US Attorney James Kitchen declared at the court hearing that Ortega-Hernandez was charged with attempted assassination of the president. If convicted, he will have to face a life imprisonment.
