Baba Ramdev accused of waging bloody revolt against govt

Faizabad, Nov 17: There seems to be more trouble brewing for yoga guru Baba Ramdev after a petition was filed in a local court seeking the registration of a criminal case against him. The complaint was regarding Ramdev's alleged statement over organising a revolt against the government similar to that of those in Libya and Syria.

The complaint was filed by social worker Mohammad Ali and the petition was admitted by the Additional Civil Judge Bhagirathi Varma. The matter will be heard in court on Nov 21. Ali's complaint states that Ramdev conspired on a bloody revolt against the govt on the lines of those in Syria and Libya.

Ali commented, "Ramdev is trying to mobilize the public for a revolt on the lines of Libya and Syria where bloody revolt took place and many died. He is insisting the members of public to come out for such revolts to end the corruption, this is no way to end the corruption by creating war and bloody revolt against the elected government."

Ali added that he had filed the petition after following media reports on the controversial statement made by Ramdev at a public meeting in Varanasi on Nov 13.
