Google to offer online music download store

London, Nov 16: World's Internet search giant, Google Inc is all set to launch an online music download store offering songs from three major companies namely Sony Corp's Sony Music Entertainment, Vivendi SA's Universal Music Group and EMI Music, as reported by

The online music download store is expected to launch on Wednesday (today) evening. Google's Music store is likely to compete with Apple Inc's dominant iTunes and other digital music services.

According to the Journal, Google's store will sell songs for around $1 apiece. The store is also expected to allow users who buy songs to share one or two free listens with contacts on the Google+ social networking service.
